Under a cloudless sky of evening young lovers speak,
About how the future seemed dark and bleak,
And as the village clock struck one,
The witch's fun had just begun.
The young woman, gentle and kind,
Didn't see past her love's disguise.
For he did not love her the same
And so the sky began to rain.
The witch looked upon the scene
At his eyes as they gleamed.
And when the woman started to cry,
The witch made sure he would certainly die.
Lightning cracked and thunder roared,
Louder than it had before.
The woman then saw past his lies,
And wiped the tears from her eyes.
She shot him once in the head,
Then the young man lay there dead.
